I surveyed my domain with pride.
Years of saving
Months of planning
Weeks of renovation
Days of stocking the shelves
and Tomorrow Miss Chee’s would fling open its doors to a ravenous public!
Goat’s…cow’s…sheep…soft, hard, smoked…marinated, mouldy…all the cheeses were ready. Plus a small selection of crackers and quince and pretty platters.
Was I ready? Time would tell.
And if people questioned the wisdom of starting a venture at my ripe old age, I’d tell them something about getting better with age and steer them to the vintage section.
Yep, I was ready!
