A woman goes into labor at a crowded state fair. Which prizewinning displays are used to help?

The paramedics are on their way…what can we scrounge and assemble in the meantime…

Item 1, a Quilt, third place ribbon winner. Heritage patchwork pattern and vintage sari material aside it is comforting, practical and can be washed (you hope).

Item 2, Winifred, a second place scoring Labrador puppy. Pure bred with no genetic traces of hip dysplasia. We are more interested in her soft ears, and ability to snuggle and distract at this stage.

Item 3, blue ribbon winning Blueberries. Perfectly purple, perfectly proportioned, perfectly succulent. Organic, naturally! Easily popped in the mouth between contractions. A recognised super food…

We could do with a doctor, but they don’t seem to judge those at State Fairs, so I suppose we’re set.
