Soon her 19 silk worms were spinning and breeding and eating. Mulberry trees filled her backyard. The looms were never silent.

Soon she was a successful business woman with a staff of silkworm carers. But the direct descendant of the very first worm still slept in a tank near her bed.

And the lights stayed on so production was 24-7.

She barely noticed.
