Even though I’ve never been there, I often dream of New Hampshire

I blame my diet of watching The West Wing and reading Richard North Patterson novels.

I would be cool in a crisis, spouting witty one-liners, capturing subversives in the coffee line while concurrently solving the energy crisis – if only I lived in New Hampshire.

I’d be fitter, smarter, simultaneously friendlier and deadlier – if only I called Concord home.

You see for me it is a place that’s the embodiment of an undercover operative. Quaint, out of the way, unassuming…with wilderness to lose oneself in, with much more to it than meets the eye.

The place influentials return to when they need to escape DC or Virginia.

Where winters breed them tough but compassionate.

Am I the only one who dreams of New Hampshire where people live free or die ?
