As your friend stop speaking the smell of aerosol paint begins to waft through the cabin. Our conditioning is so strong that people pointedly look the other way, sniffing and grumbling about the youth of today defacing public property. Their tune changes abruptly that night when your friend’s iPhone footage is picked up on the evening news. “I was there” they crow “So close, I just knew it”.
