The Journey Begins

Thanks for reading this. I love to write. I never know what to write about…or where to share what is the literary equivalent of doodling (which I also indulge in incidentally). So thus this site was born. Or more truthfully forced into being by my beloved husband who is sick of my procrastinating.

I have no idea where I am going with this. That’s probably ok, but as a planner it is a little strange. What I do know is that I will be posting things regularly. They won’t be edited or polished but they probably won’t contain typos ‘cos that’s just the kind of person I am.

Each will have been written in 5 minutes or less. I have this book by the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto that provides me with 642 story starters. They are perfect, I just open to a random page and write the first resolution to their thought starter that comes to me. Some call for just a paragraph, while others stretch to 200 words or so. I write in pencil, because I prefer it, but one of the rules I have set myself is no changes. Which means false starts and poor choices, and even woeful grammar, will soon appear here for public perusal. So it is kind of like I am writing in blood. But less painful. Allegedly.

Once I am up and running I may share other things I have written and will certainly open myself up to writing about topics of your choosing…but more on that later. Now it is time to WRITE.
